so at this point there is no wifi password entered, and no open wifi available. I clicked skip for wifi and password as i planned on flashing a rom through recovery. It had wiped /data as i was presented with the startup wizard. just wanted to check what version i was on. I am on 03/25 release.I did setup my google account, went to updates, it said there were no updates available.

I'm confused about the update breaking this. I'll be posting the device profile and source changes on my GitHub shortly, and will issue fixes / new Betas as required.

Turn the device on while holding the volume down button and press the volume up button when promptedĭownload the OPTIONAL 99p ' Transformer Recovery Boot' application from the Android Market (NOTE: This app is completely optional - if you do use it, thanks for your support!
To use, you must put it on the External SD of your device (/Removable/MicroSD) named 'EP101_SDUPDATE.zip'. I have packaged the recovery as a signed update zip.

This will install the latest TWRP.Īnd, you're done. Open it, then go to the menu and "Install OpenRecovery script", and hit yes. Once you get into CM10, install the GooManager app from the Play Store.

To get into APX, just hold down PWR and VOLUP for ten seconds or so until it reboots, then keep holding those two buttons for another two seconds.Īfter you nvflash Prime, download CM10 nightly (not the 08-18 build, it wouldn't boot for me - use 08-21) and flash it using the ancient CWM, then reboot as normal. That should get you back to the ancient CWM 3.x, which works properly. I would suggest using nvflash to get revolver or something else back on (I usually use Prime 1.5 because I can't find anything else nvflash-able). I've had nothing but problems using the recent versions of CWM on my Transformer but the latest TWRP seems to work wonderfully. Although this device is getting a bit old, I still love it and would love to retain use of it.Įdit: also just tried EasyFlasher after figuring out you could go into APX while still on, but that didn't work either. I have done this before, so I know what needs to happen, but I can't seem to be fast enough to get it.Īny help is appreciated. It always reboots, into recovery, so I can't go into APX mode. One issue I'm finding with several methods (those using nvflash) is that I can't seem to get the thing to stay OFF. Also, under adb, the device is listed as 0123456789ABCDEF recovery. I have tried many methods: manually transferring files thru adb, I tried to use fastboot, but my device wouldn't show up. It would continually reboot to recovery, which is where I'm stuck at the moment. Reboot, and this is where the problems REALLY started. Weird, but I find the place where Rom Manager had downloaded the zip and I go ahead and install it.
Instead of going to my sd, which is inserted with the rom, it goes to the main data (which should have been formatted). So I reboot into recovery, wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik, the usual. It goes pretty quickly, but when it reboots, it comes back to the regular screen I had installed before. It's version 5.8.3.4, the most recent.įrom there, I download the CM10 nightly and gapps thru Rom Manager, and try to flash it.
I wanted to install the latest CM10 nightly, so I went to ROM manager (fresh install of it), it said install CWM Recovery, okay, I do that. Okay, so I'm coming to you guys after trying many different methods to fix it.Ī bit of background: I was running Revolver 4 (rooted, of course) with CWM recovery.
